Diana had a good idea with joining the PTA and purchasing some shirts (their fundraiser). I wanted to start a new thread so we can keep the weekly meeting thread clear (and so others can search out the ideas).

So...what innovative ideas do we have for schools? Carol hands out t-shirts to the class with the most students on a fundraiser night; Diana buys shirts from them; Mel is partnering with a performing arts school (wrap party anyone?)...

Anyone contacted the band?
Partnered during registration week?
Rewarded the parent volunteers for all their hard work?

Tell us, please.

This is Michele from Cartersville,

I just booked a PreK center. They wanted to know if I was flexible in hearing what their needs were, or did I have a standard that I have to stick to. I listened to her needs and booked them the 2nd Thursday of every month for the school year.

Needs:  They didn't want a discount. They don't want the money. What they wanted was for every 100 people who eat, they want to exchange them for 5 large one topping pizza's. They wanted a "pizza bank" so that they can use them for after-school meetings, evening staff meetings, etc. they just want a surplus of pizza's, and use them as needed. .

Huh. That's pretty interesting.

Thinking through that a little, you might want to discuss a cap with them. I don't mean that they can only earn X number of pizzas, just that maybe they can't redeem any more than, say, 20 at one time. Or 25 or whatever number works.

You don't want it to be restrictive, you just don't want to get whacked in labor/food etc. all at once.

What's cool about this is that neither one of you has to think about this and there isn't much paperwork (but you do have to track accurately). Doing it this way: the school just makes it a habit to promote you. It's in their interest to have fundraiser nights and communicate it well, but it's also an every day message they put out to their families. For you, you're just making pizzas you would have made and given them anyway.

This could be good for a bunch of you.
